What is Project Foil
Project Foil was the next step in the destruction of our roommates' room. Throughout the year we have taken on small projects, usually involving duct tape or saran wrap. Normally we have had a window of only an hour or so to do them. This time both Kyle and Mike left early for fall break giving us an empty room for four nights. We decided to get started right away.
Project Foil is the extensive covering of an entire room with aluminum foil. We considered every minor detail, from coins in a box to individual strings on the blinds. Things inside drawers were covered and placed back in the drawer which was then itself covered. Individual cigarettes were covered and placed back in the pack which was also covered. Coins on the table were covered and put back in their place. We even disassembled their fan so we could cover the blades and the inside only to assemble it again and cover the outside.
One interesting discovery we came across involved Mike's touch sensitive lamp. After we wrapped the lamp and the table that it was sitting on, you could touch the table anywhere and activate it. We connected the leg of the table to the cart next to the door with his amp. From the cart, we ran the cord of his hair dryer around the door knob. Now you would activate the lamp from touching anywhere on the door. Once we covered the walls, we tried connecting the lamp to them, but it was just too much for it and wouldn't turn on.
