Welcome to sam holton dot com. This site is basically an online showcase of what I do in my spare time. There are websites that I've made in the past, videos that I've edited, and samples of other things I've put together..

Over the past few months I've been playing with an idea I've had and finally have something to show for it. Frolf Caddy is a community for disc golf players. I guess you could call it a beta at the moment, but I wanted to release it in hopes of finding and fixing any bugs before we got too far into the warm weather. I'm also always looking for feedback and ideas for new features. So check it out, try and break it (as long as you let me know how you managed to do so) and send my some ideas.

I have been pretty busy lately but have slowly been working on some updates. I have finally decided to release CAPT v2. Create an account and do some testing. Currently it's not much different from the old version other than some cosmetic updates. However, I hope to soon finish the stats module and work on some other features. You also may have noticed the update to the site footer. You can now see how many active users are on the site and details of each.

My forum is now back up and I hope to get things going again. After Project Foil, there has been an increase of visitors to the Best of Web page. The semester is winding down with only 4 days of classes and then finals. Can't wait to hit the slopes in WV over break.

My time with Bluehost is up in December and I have decided to go ahead and switch to a new host. I am currently working on getting everything transferred over and my databases back online. I won't be able to get my photo gallery back up (including the Project Foil images) until the first of next month. This is because I don't have a backup copy of it and won't be able to download it from my old host until then. I'm not sure if I'll be happy with my new host or not. They offer more disk space and bandwidth than Bluehost. However, I'm not happy with the transfer speeds so far. They have a 30 day guarantee so I may end up switching back to Bluehost before it is all over. I doubt I'll use up 75 GB again so fast.

Back to Miami but more importantly Roadrunner. Hope to be changing some things around and getting some new stuff up here. I'm going to start working on my 2004 video and hope to have that up here soon.

So I have an exam tomorrow at 9 in the morning and should probably start studying. But since studying sucks, I decided to add some more videos to the Best of the Web section. There is quite an addition this time so check them out. I think I'm going to have to come up with a better way to organize that section.
